Question on Battle of Savo Island from southern USA

Some time ago a student in one of the US southern states contacted me about writing a major thesis for his history degree, and he wanted to take The Battle Of Savo Island as his subject, we had a long question and answer series of messages before he had all he needed to proceed, but again it emanated from having Ahoy up on the web.
